That's how Funders view unpaid nonprofit Executive Directors."👈🏾What does this mean for you as a nonprofit leader?If your ED (you, maybe) is not being paid a salary, then Funders can see this as a red flag. 🚩Paid positions create the feeling of accountability. A person is being paid to work. A volunteer gives their time for free therefore can come and go as they please.So, it all goes back to the maxim—you get what you pay for.
